Gospel singer’s energetic Rose Muhando-like dance moves slammed as ‘vulgar’ and ‘indecent’ as Nyeri governor is buried
The Bible speaks of how David vigorously danced till his clothes fell off when he delivered the Ark of the Lord from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David.

A scenario that greatly disgusted Saul’s daughter who was mortified at seeing a whole king dancing and leaping heartily before the Lord, the priests and his subjects and servants…almost naked.
So when the ark was set in the tabernacle and he offered the burnt offerings and peace offerings to the Lord and blessed the people, he went to his house to bless his family. At the door, he was met by Michal who said “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”
And David replied with…. I will play music before the Lord and I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight.”
Indicating that he doesn’t care what people on earth think of his dancing, all he cares about is praising the Lord and God’s opinion was the only one that mattered.
Now a Kikuyu singer by the name Regina Muthoga seems to have offended the sensibilities of Kenyans on social media who felt that her energetic spazz-icperformance was too vulgar and too energetic for a funeral.
They also seemed pretty pissed at her dressing which was a high-low fish skirt which showed off her biker(if you look very closely) as she danced energetically like David.
“Her choice of dressing was way too short and her dancing skills almost gave the Secret Service a nightmare. I mean, as a mother, you want to cover yourself and as an artist you want to show some skin. While performing in such a high voltage event you want to find the common ground. That was a national platform. In a funeral. With a sitting and a former head of state in attendance. Your dress simply didn't work for you. Once, twice, more than enough times I hid my face in dismay and full embarrassment as your dress went way higher than my eyes would accommodate." One user on Facebook griped while another said “A good song. A good singer. WRONG DRESSING!! ". While another chipped in with “Hiyo kuruka at some point I saw her bikers. Next time avae sweatpants kama ataruka hivyo .”
But there are those who were on Regina’s side with one Lydiah Mbuguah saying “Eiiishii pls ya go swallow a chill pill! Governor request: full life celebration:hmmm. now her dress is the talk of the town.."my bible 'if ya my pple fail to sing for me , so the stone wll'".not sure of the verse but u get the point ...love the song ..ya busy praising the devil himself: she came ready to deliver the #Word..shidwe kabisa.
While Jennie Mungai said she liked the confidence she showed when performing for such high-ranking political figures “Am happy for her. She is not old in the music industry and of all the musicians we have in Kenya....aliimba mbele ya big people.... Regina....don’t be silenced....i”
