Nation Media Group owned station NTV has ended its relationship with reggae DJ Chris Odhiambo aka Kriss Darlin weeks after joining the race to replace the late Ken Okoth as the next Member of Parliament for Kibra Constituency.

Reports indicate that NTV management reached a mutual decision to terminate Darlin’s contract, as his bid to join politics goes against their Editorial policy.
According to NTV’s Head of Production and Programming Justus Tharao, Kriss will host two more shows where he will get the opportunity to bid goodbye to his fans.
Jam Rock reggae host
The reggae spin master (Kriss Darlin) used to host the weekly Jam Rock reggae show alongside Miss Katiwa.
Kriss is among 10 candidates shortlisted for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party nominations come Saturday.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced that the Kibra Constituency by-election will be held on November 7, 2019.
A gazette notice directed all political parties intending to participate in the by-election to forward names of aspirants who will participate in the party primary elections as well as the date of the primaries on or before Monday August 26, 2019.
Independent candidates were asked to submit their names and symbol to IEBC on August 26, 2019.
