In latest reports, the ‘Me and You’ singer was flown to Germany for specialized treatment after his health deteriorated, following a major surgery he underwent in June.

Confirming the reports, Ommy Dimpoz’s father Faraji Nyembo who spoke to a Tanzanian daily said it was true his situation got worse and was flown to Germany for another surgery.

“Ni kweli walinijulisha kwamba mwanangu amezidiwa tena wakampeleka Ujerumani kwa ajili ya matibabu zaidi kisha kufanyiwa operesheni kwa mara nyingine na nimekuwa nikiwasiliana nao kujua hali yake,” Ommy’s father said to Global Publishers.
He called on Tanzanians to remember Ommy in prayers as he undergoes treatment in Germany.

This comes several months after the ‘Yange’ hit make in June disclosed he had trouble eating and drinking and after tests it was recommended that he underwent an operation to rectify the problem he was having.

He added that he was hospitalized for 15 days after undergoing the operation, seven of which he was in a coma.
Ommy Dimpoz went on to thank those that sent him messages of encouragement and also prayed for him as he recuperated in South Africa.
