Diamond’s boda boda rider look-alike Patrick Gongo Mabeya has landed an ambassadorial job, a few months after Kenyans got to know him through funny man Eric Omondi.

‘The Other Diamond’ as he calls himself will serve as the brand ambassador for TVS Motorbikes after he signed a deal with Car and General Motors and the company will give him two of Motorbikes.

“Today Patrick is the happiest man because he just signed a one year deal with Car & General Motors as the brand ambassador for TVS Motorbikes. The company will also offer him two of these bikes. Next Saturday Car & General motors together with Big Tyme Entertainment will be flying Patrick to Kilifi for a well-deserved homecoming party...Watu wa Kilifi twaja jumamosi,” said Eric Omondi who disclosed the news through an Instagram post.

Patrick had come to Nairobi for the first time to help the comedian do a video shoot on the life of singer Diamond Platnumz, ‘The Boy From Tandale’ and has since been in Nairobi together with Eric Omondi.

Eric in his post narrated how he first met Patrick Gongo in Mtwapa, Kilifi County through a friend while he was attending a wedding.

“His almost identical resemblance to Diamond got my attention and I immediately asked him to help me do the Story of Diamond's life in "The boy from tandale" (Check YouTube). He agreed but we couldn't do it immediately because he appeared to be a bread winner for most who relied on him back at home, his main tool of trade was the boda boda,” said Eric.
