President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday made two special requests to leaders during the 17th National Prayer Breakfast at Nairobi’s Safari Park Hotel.

Only 2 things!
While addressing leaders in attendance, the President asked leaders to not only talk about things, but be practical about what they said at the Prayer Breakfast.
He went on to say that if the leaders put into action their words, Kenya would be a whole different country in five years, insisting that it is all Kenyans want.
“We love talking about, we love making the commitments but the practical side is a bit tough, let’s just do it. That is all our people ask of us nothing else. We can sing from the roof tops but all our people want is for us to do what we have said,” said President Kenyatta.
In his second request, the Head of State called on his South Sudan counterpart Salva Kiir who was present at the prayer breakfast to ensure there is peace in the war torn country.
He added that his people seriously needed peace, as he assured him of Kenya’s total support
“The second is a prayer directed to my brother in South Sudan, peace is possible but there must be also the intention to have peace because at the end of the day leadership is not about who is president but about service to your people and the people and South Sudan desperately need peace in order for them to get service that they fought for, for many years,” he said.
“And Kenya stands ready my brother to work with you and all your colleagues to help the people of South Sudan to achieve that long waited for objective of a strong united prosperous South Sudan,” added President Uhuru Kenyatta.
