Radio Jambo presenter Massawe Japanni in mourning

Popular Radio Jambo presenter Massawe Japanni is mourning the death of her sister.

In a series of posts she shared on Instagram, Ms Massawe shared pictures of candles with emojis indicating that she was sad.

In another post, the radio queen took to her Instagram page where she shared a message bidding farewell to her sister.

The post had the words “Safiri salama dadangu! Safiri salama…”

The mother of two, however, did not disclose details of her sister who has passed on.

Break from radio

This comes just a few months after she joined Radio Jambo as a mid-morning presenter after taking a break from radio for more than a year.

Massawe Japanni made her radio comeback after she had been off-air since April 2017.

Ms Japanni shared the news of her comeback via her social media pages “Hey, so looking forward to reconnect…Cocked and ready."

Massawe had worked with Radio Jambo before but parted ways in April 2017, after she decided to take a break from the radio Industry.

She also worked with Q FM, a station that was owned by Nation Media Group before being poached to join Mediamax owned station Milele FM.

At Milele, Massawe used to host the Drive show alongside Kazungu Matano popularly known as Captain Otoyo.
