'He overdosed on viagra' Ugandan publisher sensationally claims in regards to the former Prime Minister's health

On March 8th 2017, former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga was rushed to hospital.

Raila Odinga

Some sensationally claimed that he was poisoned by opponents while a reliable source revealed that he had suffered the sometimes fatal food poisoning.

“He was taken to Karen Hospital in the morning hours and treated for food poisoning and then discharged,” Dennis Onyango, Raila’s spokesman told the Nation.

But despite the information coming from a reliable source, people are still speculating about the NASA leader’s sudden illness.

With some going go the extent of accusing the current member of Parliament for Gatundu South Moses Kuria of poisoning him.

“Please Moses Kuria....why did you poison Raila Odinga.? I want to remind you that Odinga is not like Robert Ouko,Mbai,Kilonzo,Saitoti and etc.. If he dies. Kenya will not be the same again.” one Rooney Njogah asked Kuria and Kuria retorted with “Why did you poisoned? Wewe ulisoma kweli?”

But that is not all, some like political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi claim that he was 'pretending' and called him 'reckless, calculative and jobless old man'. "Raila was NOT Sick. He WAS JUST PLAYING politics. But I could also be WRONG. " Raila's tough critic caimed. Before saying that 'Uhuru was too nice' and should be a mean, vicious person for the country to be safe.

But perhaps the strangest theory comes from Uganda’s Red Pepper who claimed that the politician suffered a Viagra overdose.

“Former Kenyan PM, Raila Rushed to Hospital after Viagra Overdose,” rang the saucy headline which included Nairobi women’s representative Rachel Shebesh hinting at a connection between the two and feeding to the masses love for scandal .

The paper has in the past has poked the ex-Prime Minister with scandalous stories like he was spotted frolicking with Ugandan babes during a visit to Kampala. The prime minister had gone to attend Afrigo Band Royal Ball at Kampala Serena Hotel and in attendance were dignitaries like Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II as chief guest.

But this time they overstepped, but then again it’s Red Pepper and sensationalism is their brand so it was sort of expected.
