But things did not go as planned and the engagement was called off. Avril and her partner decided to remain mum about the reason for their split leaving room for speculation.

Avril opens up about the unexpected tragedy that led to her calling off her engagement
After close to four years of dating Judith Nyambura Mwangi (Avril) and Tinashe Leslie Mugadza (Muga) were set to become one at the end of last year.

Some blogs suggested that Mugadza was already married to a British woman who earned him his British Citizenship. Others claimed that Avril called it off after discovering that Mugdza was not who he says he is. He was a fraud who works in the aviation industry and is not the South African investor he says he is.
Now Avril has come to put these gossips to rest by disclosing what led to her break-up with Mugadza.
“We were supposed to get married at the end of last year, but unfortunately, my dad fell sick and passed away and that gave me a lot of pressure .A lot of pressure in trying to think where my life is and what I want to do in my life. And unfortunately I didn’t feel like I needed the pressure of pangaing (organizing )my wedding at that point in my life. I just grew apart from my spouse and we grew a part to I point I felt like we needed a break.” She said. Before adding that following her father’s bad state of health and death she just could not handle the emotions that came with a relationship and that is why she called it off.
