Monique Kabuye was hosting her last show on Hot 96 last Friday and was saying a poignant goodbye to her listeners of two years. Unbeknown to her, her hubby had planned a romantic surprise and as she was busy bidding her listeners goodbye, her husband sneaked into the studio with flowers, a guitar and their young daughter.

Valentine’s Day, is months away, but that has not stopped this man from wowing his wife with grand romantic gestures.

Right behind him was Hot Breakfast host David Oyuke who came in carrying cake and a bunch of balloons.
He then started serenading her with a beautiful song to mark her last day at the Mid-Morning show.
But for her husband, this is a deed he does a lot “I surprise her a lot. It doesn’t have to be on Valentine’s Day, it doesn’t have to be a special day. It is any day for me, especially when she least expects. It is not driven by time or anything; it is driven by my action just to show her that I love her.”

As for Monique this is what she told EDaily about her exit “It has been an amazing journey doing Mid Morning Show on Hot 96 FM, playing all the good music, discovering talents; it has been an amazing ride. And to be appreciated, this way is more than diamonds and gold. I can almost feel that I would be missed. I want to thank the entire team and everyone who was a part of this.”
