Sarah Hassan (Tanya) wins prestigious award in America

Congratulations!

Sarah Hasan is well on her way to her first Oscar after bagging two Festigious Awards for a film she starred in called ‘The Company You Keep’.

Mrs Dale won in the category of ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Indie Film’ and she broke the great news with a post that read “Yaaayyy first win #BestIndieFilm and #BestActress So, last year I decided to do a short film!! Thank you @morganaikenartist @simmiesangian @anupk15 @milbelynn for coming on board and helping me bring it to life, congratulations to the whole team on this win and a huge thank you @festigious.”

This is her first award since graduating from the prestigious New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.

While in Kenya, she scooped two awards for the Best Actress at the 2010 & 2011 CHAT Awards and in 2014, she won Best Actress for her role in the short film Now That You’re Here.

A year later her palpable chemistry with co-host Charles Ouda bagged them the Best TV Hosts Award at the esteemed Kalasha Awards for Discovery +254.

And in 2015 Sarah carried home the award for Best East African Journalist at the Swahili Fashion Week in Dar es Salaam. This was for her work on Mashariki Mix and Maisha Max which are magazine-style television programs.
