Sauti Sol has responded to Media Personality Felix Oduor aka Jalang’o, after he accused them of letting down the Kenya music industry by failing to help other artistes elevate themselves.

According to Bien, (a member of the group), it was wrong for Jalang’o to call them out in public without knowledge of what they are doing behind the scenes.

He added that he will be looking forward to meeting the Milele Fm’s presenter on Friday, during a media tour of their new signee Bensoul to their Sol Generation Records.

Sauti Sol's response

“Jalang’o is the biggest letdown but that’s a story for another day. I’m a letdown if I see a brother putting down another brother. He’s my guy and he knows the plans that have been underway. I would expect him to have called me first instead of politicising the whole thing. I got really pissed and actually went off on him on that. I’m going to his station on Friday. I have to see what he has to say about the whole situation. But it was bound to happen. We were making plans for over a year. Delvin Savara was in Stanford doing for a programme, we have a business coach now. And if I go wrong, don’t fix your brother’s collar in public ” Bien told Mpasho.

On January 11, 2018, during the Play Kenyan Music debate, Mzee Jalas accused the Melanin hit makers of being selfish and failing to share their remedy to a successful career with fellow artistes in the game.

He pointed out that the Band had also refused to mentor and play the big brothers role in the Industry despite their accomplishments in the Music Industry.

'So @sautisol have band members individually have finally decided to talk about #PlayKenyaBuyKenya But how I wish it was the Voice of the band! I can tell you @bienaimesol and @savarafrica You are a big letdown in this industry! Because you are liars and you don't want to tell other artists the truth! You've refused to share the secret to your success, you want to be at the top alone! And have totally refused to mentor and play the big role the has been bestowed to you! You can't be legends, upcoming and hottest at the same time! Can you imagine if we had even 5 sautisol's? This debate will not even be here!” wrote Jalang'o
