Once a flourishing events’ organiser Kevin Ombajo or Big Kev has not been able to go on with business as usual as he has been in and out of hospitals thanks to a debilitating brain tumour he has been fighting for 6 years.

After a few operations, Big Kev thought that he had won the battle only for the tumour to come back with a vengeance. After complications developed in his right brain, he had to be flown to India for a life-saving operation which unfortunately ended up with him going blind

“The sickness robbed us of millions, time, resources and much more but never doubt the power of prayer and faith. It is a chapter I’m determined to leave behind me for good. There is nowhere I have not gone in search of a cure and nothing I have not been prepared to.” He revealed in an earlier post when describing how much damage the disease had cost him both physically and financially.

But despite the tiring battle, Big Kev has always maintained an air of positivity and to keep him going, members of the showbiz industry had a fund-raising dinner at Carnivore Restaurant.

Redsan, Nonini, Ian Mbugua, Chris Adwar, Nameleess, DJ Stylez , Japheth Kasanga and Frasha were among just a few of those who attended the glitzy event. An event that raised 7.1 Million Kshs of the 20 Million Kshs needed.
