Last weekend, Chamwada invited, WTV’s reporter Elijah Mwangi to sit in for him announcing on social media that viewers will be treated to an interesting guest anchor.

Chamwada was in Monrovia and had Mwangi presenting much of the report that day.

Speaking to Mwangi about the recent development, he called the move as a step up as he got a bigger platform and the chance to work with one of the people he looked up to.

On whether he was quitting WTV to join Chamwada’s Chams media, he was non-committal.

“Remember I have four major shows to produce with WTV but being a special contributor to the Chamwada report is something I can take up and deliver.”

Currently, Elijah Mwangi is the producer and host of Be The Judge, Breeding Cash, Sports Center and Business Recap proving himself a master at many and a Jack of none.

There have been recent reports from various sections about crisis at the fledgling WTV, for Mwangi however, this is a case of eating your cake and still having it.

Elijah Mwangi has steadily risen from an intern at Citizen where he built most of his contacts to WTV as first a reporter following another of his mentors Johnstone Mwakazi.

Consistency has seen him rise the ranks and he iis now the co-host of one of the most respected journalists in the region.
