Wema Sepetu makes passionate threat after her uncle was shot

Wema Sepetu has spoken following the shooting of vocal Tanzanian opposition member Tundu Lissu.

Tundu was said to be in critical condition after getting shot in the stomach and leg by unknown assailants after complaining of being tailed by a car and expressing fears of an assassination.

Wema Sepetu has taken to social media following the shooting where she complained that before his shooting Tundu had been harassed by the government for ages and accused them of trying to kill Tundu.

She then urged Tanzanians to stop shutting their eyes when there is injustice happening right under their noses before reminiscing of a better Tanzania before Magufuli took power.

The actress then said if anything happened to her uncle there would be consequences in that they will not be silenced when it comes to fighting for justice for Tundu.

A post that has been seen as ‘inflammatory’ and ‘hypocritical’ since Wema campaigned for Magufuli.

Here is Wema's post:

" Kwanza wamuhangaishe kila kukicha kesi haziishi... Akisema kitu uchochezi, sasa kakataa kukaa kimya ndo wameona wamuue.... NO!!! Watanzania kama tutaendelea kufumbia macho huu uonevu then hatutofika tunapotaka... Kero zinazidi kila kukicha... Ndugu zetu wanaonewa kila kukicha... And wat do we do...? Tunakaa Kimya... Jamani kwa hili tuombe tu Mungu huyu baba apone... Nikimaanisha, huko alipo sasa Mungu amsimamie na arudi kwenye hali yake.... Hii sasa imekuwa too much... This is something No One Can Take... Sidhani kama kuna Mtanzania yoyote anaependa hali ya nchi inavyoendelea kuwa kadri siku zinavyozidi kwenda... Ni nini hiki jamani...??? Oh Lord help my Uncle... If anything happens to him then nadhani wengi wetu vitatutokea maana hatutokaa KIMYA...!!! Ni kutokukaa kimya ndo kumepelekea haya yote kutokea... Nimeikumbuka Tanzania yetu ya miaka kama miwili iliopita... Sio Tanzania hii isio na Amani.... Nchi gani sijui hii... Mungu tusaidie...!!! I'm Praying for you Uncle wangu. "
