The Station took to its social media pages to inform its listeners that they were leaving their 91.6 frequency, without giving details on the type of transition they are walking into.

“Today we say goodbye to 91.6FM, Comment below or call in LIVE on 0792-100010 and bid us KWAHERI as we transition” reads a post on Instagram.

Reports indicate that the station reached on a decision to do away with their frequency due to financial constraints.

An update on their WhatsApp Number reads; Kubamba, since its inception relied heavily on donors and when they pulled it became hard for the business to run.”

Upon making the announcement, listeners expressed their concerns, stating how they are going to miss the Radio station.

Kubamba radio under the K-Crew family consisting of Moses K Mathenge (DJ Moz), John Njuguna (Njugush), Gowi Odera, Oscar Arigi and Ashley Ndambu was launched back in July 2016.
