Veteran musician Rosemary Wahu Kagwi has sent a rare message to President Uhuru Kenyatta urging him to fight corruption.
The gospel singer tagged the President in her post on Instagram which she wrote on behalf of the next generation.
Wahu's message to President Uhuru
She wrote, “Dear Mr. President . Here's a note from me to you! On my behalf, and on behalf of generations coming behind us. Show no Mercy!”
She further captioned it alongside a post that summarized the achievements made by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad within a short period of time as he tamed widespread corruption in his country.
“Mahathir Mohamad brought back $ 50 billion of the corrupt money after 5 days of re-election. In just 5 days he:
Arrested 9 ministers, shut down the air space and sea so the corrupt don’t escape
Arrested 144 businessmen for corruption
Arrested 50 judges for corruption
Arrested 200 cops on corruption
Introduced tax reduction as of June 2018”
NYS scandal
Her plea to President Uhuru comes hot on the heels following a fresh National Youth Service (NYS) corruption scandal where Sh8 billion is alleged to have been lost.

Public service PS Lillian Mbogo Omollo and NYS Director General Richard Ndubai are among several suspects who have been arrested in connection to the fresh NYS corruption scandal.
The PS and the NYS Director General had recently stepped aside from their official duties in the wake of the latest scam.
