Diamond Platnumz breaks silence over owing government 400 Million

He has finally spoken up...

Diamond Platnumz

But there is one thorn in his flesh, The Tanzania Revenue Authority that claims that Diamond owes it 400 Million Tshs .This was something that was revealed by the Member of Parliament for Kinondoni, Maulid Mtulia of the CHADEMA opposition Party who Diamond complained to.

Now another Member of Parliament Joseph Haule a.k.a ‘Profesa Jay’ of Mikui constituency has spoken on the Diamond-TRA  issue.

‘Juzi msanii Diamond alikua analalamika kuwa TRA wamempelekea kodi ya Milioni mia nne, unaweza kujiuliza anadaiwa milioni 400 kwa kiasi gani alichoingiza?

‘Lakini downloads zinazofanyika mnaweza kuona Wasanii sasa hivi wanabanwa, TRA wanatamani kuvuna kutoka kwa Wasanii kitu ambacho bado hawajakipandikiza, tumekua na ule msemo kama wa zamani kwamba shamba likiwa na bangi ni lako lakini likiwa na dhahabu ni la serikali… tunataka kuchuma kitu ambacho hatujakipanda, ndio maaana nasema inabidi Serikali sasa ianze kuwekeza na kuwajenga wasanii kutoka shule za msingi mpaka chuo kikuu .” he said amid loud cheers from other parliamentarians. (Diamond recently complained that TRA claims that he owes them 400 Million Kshs and if he owes them 400 Million Tshs how much money does he make to owe them that much? If you look at the music downloads you can see that the artistes are already suffering and TRA wants to reap what they didn’t sow from the artiste what they didn’t plant. We have a saying that if your grow Marijuana in your garden it’s yours but if its gold it belongs to the government, why do we as the government want to reap what we didn’t sow? That’s why I’m urging the government to start supporting the artistes from primary school to university."

Something which greatly touched Diamond who wrote  “Ndio Maana kwenye Jimbo lako sikuja kupiga kampeni bro...kwakuwa niliijua mapema thamani na umuhimu wa Uwepo wako kwenye hilo jengo..... @professorjaytz.” (That’s why i didn’t need to campaign for you in your constituency because I already had confidence in your value and importance in your constituency)
