Kenyans singer Willy Paul and Nandy have spoken following a grisly Road accident involving their convoy that was transporting Band Member to Sumbawanga for the Nandy Festival.

A statement put up on Pozee’s Instagram confirms that indeed there was an accident but luckily the team escaped with injuries but there was no major causalities.

“We are still alive. There was an accident but No death reports... #sumbawanga#nandyfestival #hallelujah1 tuko njiani,” wrote Willy Paul.

Nandy's explanation

In a video uploaded on Nandy’s Instagram, a seemingly terrified Ms Nandy explained that those who got deep cuts from the accident were taken back to Dar es Salaam for proper Medical attention.

“Najua kuna taarifa kuhusu swala la ajali, lakini kusiwe na wasiwasi kila mtu yuko salama. Ni garililikuwa limebeba Dancers wangu and baadhi ya vyombo. Sasa ivi tup Iringa tunakuja na baadhi ya watu waliokuwa kwa lile gari ila wengi wamerudi Dar kwa Matibabu Zaidi. Tunamshukuru mungu tuko salama na tuna shukuru kwa maombi yenu.... sumbawanga tuko njiani,” said Nandy.

Toyota Coaster

On Monday night, it was reported that Nandy’s convoy had been involved a road accident that left several band members injured and had been rushed to hospital.

Occupants of the Toyota Coaster model bus were left nursing injuries after their car rolled several times at a place called Mikumi in Morogoro.

At the Nandy festival, several Tanzanian artistes are expected to entertain revelers from the Sumbawanga region. The artistes include; Juma nature, comedian and singer Whozu, Stamina, Nandy, Barnaba Classic, Roma, Billnass, Ice Boy and Kenyan singer Willy Paul.
