Court to make final ruling on Wema Sepetu’s case 

Wema to know her fate

The Resident Magistrates Court in Kisutu, Dar es Salaam is set to make final ruling on Wema Sepetu’s Marijuana case.

On April 23rd, the court will decided whether the Miss Tanzania 2006 has a case to answer in her drug abuse suit.

The decision will be made by Residents Magistrates Thomas Simba after the court concluded listening to testimonies from five witnesses.

Wema will appear before the court in company of other two co-accused persons, Angelina Msigwa and Matrida Seleman Abbas.

It was alleged that on February 4 last year Wema and her co-accused were found in possession of rolls of bhang at Kunduchi Ununio. Wema is also accused of smoking marijuana.

Last year, Tanzanian police launched a crackdown on Top celebrities after a numbers of them were linked to drug Trafficking.

According to the Tanzanian ministry of internal security, the Celebrities were ordered to report to the Central police station located in Dar es Salaam and record statements concerning the whole issue. Names of Six celebrities had been issued and therefore they were forced to surrendered to the police station.

Those who were summoned included  Wema Sepetu, TID, Ray C, Idris Sultan, Azan Zungu, Abas Mutevu, Rugemarila Mutahaba, Vanessaa mdee, Tunda, Halidali Kavila, Amani, Kashozi, Agnes Masogange and Omry Sanga.
