Speaking on Woman Without Limits, Raburu disclosed that he did not have enough money and he paid half of the required amount for their honeymoon package on the day of their wedding.
He went on to say that at the time, he did not know what his wife liked and did not like.

“We went for the honeymoon… It was one to forget! I did not know her tastes and what she liked. All the time, I used to tell her: ‘You like the fine things in life’, which is true. It was chaos! I was like: ‘I have brought somebody’s daughter here, and on our first day, she wants to cry,” said the Citizen TV presenter.
According to Willis, he was disappointed that they had to stay at the hotel for one week yet the room had crawling creatures like snails and they had to use towels to cover any openings that would let in the creatures into their room.

“We used to put towels on lower opening between the door and the floor to prevent crawling creatures from getting into the room,” said Willis Raburu.

On her part, Raburu’s wife said the bed in their room was too high and she had to climb it. She added that the room also had millipedes’ colored black and red which would climb the bed frame while they were asleep.

The couple said that their complaints to the hotel’s management fell on deaf ears.
“There was this day that a black animal resembling a monitor lizard just got into the room. We went to complain to the hotel owners, but not meaningful action was taken. Every other time I was just scared,” said Maryaprude Raburu.
