Yvonne Okwara speaks on her days as a singer

Citizen TV news anchor Yvonne Okwara has for the first time disclosed that she was once a singer.

In a post seen by Pulselive.co.ke, the screen queen revealed that 19 years ago she was in a girl band and they were about to release their first album.

Okwara who had shared a throwback picture of herself then said that she was freshly out of high school and they had prepared 13 songs ready for release.

The TV news anchor who did not give much details on the 19 years ago happenings however, promised to talk about the whole of it soon.

“#TBT I was straight out of high school here. Close to 19 years ago. This photo was for a shoot because....wait for it... I was in a girl band and we were about to release an album.... One day I will tell y'all this story! Check out the lip gloss, and the bangs!” wrote Yvonne Okwara.

Ambassadorial job

Ms. Okwara’s revelation comes just a few days after she disclosed that she had been appointed Ultimate Sports Nutrition Kenya ambassador.

The news anchor who has been on a fitness journey said that she was happy to have a partner in USN-Kenya this year, as she continues with her fitness journey.
