Women jailed for 6 months over M-Pesa blunder
The offence carries a Sh40, 000 fine.
Margaret Njeri pleaded guilty and received the sentence after revealing that she was unable to pay the Sh40,000 fine for the offence- which the complainant will be compensated from.
She was arraigned in Embu prison.
Njeri is accused of stealing the money which Richard Mbui accidentally sent to her on December 7.

Mbui requested her to return the money however Njeri went on to withdraw and use the cash.
She then switched off her phone to avoid being traced.
The accused pleaded with presiding Jean Ndegeri to be allowed to pay it back in installments of Sh2,000 a month.
Ndegeri declined, stating that such an arrangement be too lengthy.
