The first sex doll brothel in has been given the go ahead by police despite claims it breaches legislation banning prostitution.
They come in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes and are all dressed in skimpy lingerie.
Communist members of the Paris Council called for its closure on moral grounds, while feminist groups argue that it encourages a culture of rape.
But after a thorough police inspection, XDolls, which charges €89 (Sh 11,000) for an hour with a sex doll, was approved.
Deputy Mayor Bruno Julliard, a Socialist, dismissed the motion as a waste of council time, saying it was “far removed from town hall business”, The Times reported.
He was backed by a source at the interior ministry who said that the brothel had been inspected by police last week.
“They checked to see if it caused public disorder and on the face of it, that is not the case. Everything is in order. There are no complaints from neighbors yet.”
Joaquim Lousquy, the owner of the business, which is officially registered as a games center, said: “The police officer was very nice. He looked at everything.”
Punters are offered the services of a sex doll rather than a real woman in one of the several rooms inside the brothel.
A look inside the sex club shows there are four different dolls.
