They look alike, make some beautiful but controversial shoes however, they belong to different taxonomic families and if you don't remember your form 1 biology that means that they are classified under different species. Their main differences are in their shapes and where they're found.

3. Affect v Effect

Affect is the verb. Effect is the noun.

4. HIV v AIDS

Human Immuno-deficiency Virus is a virus that can lead to infection. Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome is a condition. HIV could lead to AIDs. But people who are HIV+ can live without ever developing the condition.

5. Vegans v Vegetarians

Vegetarians eat everything as long as it's not meat. Vegans do not eat any animal based product. That means vegans additionally don't eat eggs, milk or any products that contain the two.

6. Pills and tablets

Pills are round while tablets are pills and everything else.
