Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna has suffered a huge blow after his running mate Karen Wangenye stepped down only nine days to the August 8 elections.
While addressing the press at a Nairobi city hotel on Monday morning, the 29-year-old said she had quit because of poor working conditions with Miguna.

Wangenye is a Sociology graduate from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) whom Miguna had described as a dynamic youthful leader.
Wangenye had been picked by Miguna as his running mate after the gubernatorial aspirant dumped his first choice James Gathungu after only two weeks.
Miguna failed to disclose why he replaced Gathungu with Wangenye.
Miguna is running for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat as an Independent against incumbent Evans Kidero, Senator Mike Sonko and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth.
