Raila Speaks on his retirement plan
Raila breaks silence
Jubilee leaders led by Deputy President William Ruto and Majority leader of the National Assembly Aden Duale have been on record advising the 72-year-old veteran politician to retire.
“Raila Odinga may boycott as many elections as he wants, but the truth is retirement is beckoning on him,” Duale said.
Speaking in Kawangware area, the former Prime Minister noted that he will never be forced to quit politics.
Mr Odinga stated that age is not an important factor as a person’s progressive agenda for a nation.
“Do not look at somebody's age. I will retire not because DP Ruto has said so but I will do so when I want to. When I have finished my work I will go without anybody telling me to do so
Those who are talking about age are idiots,” he told his supporters.
Odinga claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee party were using underhanded methods to intimidate the Judiciary. He was referring to the Supreme Court sitting that failed to kick off because of lack of quorum.
At the same time, the NASA leader condemned Mr. Kenyatta for profiling people from the Nyanza region highlighting that he ought to stop police brutality in these areas.
