Police Ordered to Arrest Raila’s sister

Raila's Sister in more trouble

NASA Principal Raila Odinga’s sister has landed in trouble after the Director of Public of Prosecution Keriako Tobiko directed her immediate arrest an prosecution.

Ruth Odinga, the former Kisumu Deputy Governor, is one of the suspects accused of attacking Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials in the county.

Ruth and Kisumu Senator Fred Outa came under siege after disrupting a training session of IEBC staff.

The two leaders were in the company of other locals.

In the letter to DCI Director Ndegwa Muhoro, Mr. Tobiko noted that there was sufficient evidence to take the two leaders into custody.

"Upon perusal of the file and analysis of the evidence on record, the DPP finds the evidence sufficient to warrant prosecution of the two suspects and their accomplices," the DPP stated.

Ruth and Outa are set to be charged in Kericho Law Courts for storming an electoral center without authority, obstructing an election officer from executing his lawful duties, incitement to violence and malicious damage to property.

Last week, the two were reported missing after they were allegedly arrested by police officers.
