3 home remedies to get rid of stinky feet

Got smelly feet?

I remember the smell was so bad sometimes that when growing up, the whole house would literally stink and we, the kids would go stay in the bedroom leaving only those strong enough to survive that smell in the living room. So, why do some people’s smell like freaking poop? Simple, sweat and bacteria! Very gross if you think about it. It’s very disgusting and many men suffer from this which to be honest can be a massive turn off and even embarrassing. However, there are home remedies that you can help tackle stinky feet:

1. Baking soda.

Baking soda has antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, and can help get rid of foot odor. Mix quarter a cup of baking soda, 8 cups of hot water and one cup of lemon juice in a large container then soak your feet for about 20 minutes then wash your feet well afterwards.

2. Vinegar.

Vinegar easily eliminates the bacteria that causes foot odor. Mix half a cup of apple cider vinegar and 5-8 cups of warm water in a large container. Soak your feet twice a day for 15 minutes then rinse your feet with cold water afterwards.

3. Black tea.

Black tea contains tannins that kill bacteria. Put 5 black tea bags and 4 cups of boiling water in a large container. Let it cool off then soak your feet for 10 minutes. Then let the mixture get cold and soak your feet for another 20 minutes.

It’s also important to take care of your feet and have basic hygiene. Wash your feet, wipe in between your toes, wear shoes that are not wet, don’t repeat shoes too often and wear clean socks everyday. Also, keep your nails clean and short to prevent creating the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
