7 ways your body is trying to tell you to drink more water
Water is life.
Yes, the cold sodas and freshly squeezed juices are great but that feeling of quenching your thirst with water is unlike any other.
Unfortunately, not everyone actually drinks as much water as they should and the body usually responds when it is not getting enough water.
Here are some signs that you need to drink more water.
1.You’re overly thirsty
If this isn’t an obvious sign that you need to drink more water then I don’t know what is. Instead of reaching out for sweet, carbonated drinks – which can make you thirstier – have a glass of water instead.
2.Your pee is a dark color
When your pee is dark colored, it means that you need to drink more water. Your pee is supposed to be pale yellow.
3.You get headaches a lot
Dehydration can cause headaches. This could be due to the fact that blood is not thin enough which as a result reduces the flow of oxygen transported to the brain.
4.You get constipated easily
Constipation is an indicator that you do not drink enough water. Drink enough water, especially when eating fiber-rich foods such as whole grains.
5.You’re sleepy…a lot
Your sudden drowsiness may not be as a result of eating a heavy lunch but could lean more towards the fact that you are dehydrated.
When you’re dehydrated, the body tends to get water from the blood. If your blodd is not well hydrated then it lacks oxygen. A lack of oxygen = sleepiness
6.Your nails are brittle
Dehydration can be the cause of brittle nails.
7.Your throat is dry
Dryness in the throat or mouth is a clear indication of dehydration.
