7 tips to help you get pregnant faster

This can help you get pregnant within a year.

They may not be 100% effective but if you're in your mid 30s or younger, have regular unprotected sex and have no health complications, it should happen between 6 months and a year.

Here are 7 things you should do if you want to get pregnant faster.

1. Have lots of sex

Having regular unprotected sex will increase your chances of getting pregnant. However, you should alternate the days you have sex so as to allow for sperm build up.

2. Calculate your most fertile time of the month

The most optimal days for conception are 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation.

Ovulation begins 14 days before you start your period. After ovulation, the egg is only viable for a day.

While there is no science to state which is the best position to ensure pregnancy, there is no harm in assisting gravitiy.

Any position works, however, after sex, put a pillow beneath your hips and keep your legs raised for 20 minutes.

4. Keep your stress levels low

Staying relaxed and calm increases your chances of getting pregnant.

5. Your partner should wear loose boxer shorts

Some experts report that wearing loose boxer shorts keeps testicles cool which helps sperm production.

Men also shouldn't balance laptops on their legs with their legs closed as this heats up the testicles and impedes sperm production.

6. Ditch the lube

Rely on foreplay to get proper lubrication as the sex lubricants have been noted to affect sperm motility.

The lube contains agents which prevent the sperm from swimming effectively.

7. Don't drink or smoke

Alcohol and tobacco make it harder to conceive.

Other unhealthy habits may make it harder to get pregnant such as being overweight. Ensure you are healthy and that your wellness is top notch.
