5 STI’s you can contract even if you use a condom during sex
Some STI's are transmitted differently and that is why even condoms cannot prevent contraction.
Here are 5 sexually transmitted infections that you can get even if you use condoms.
1.Genital herpes
HSV-1 or HSV-2 is called genital herpes when it affects the genitals or genital area. Lesions and sores can occur on other parts of the genital area that is exposed during sex. Contact with your partner can lead to the spread of genital herpes.
2.Pubic lice
Popularly known as crabs are lice are spread during sexual, skin to skin contact. Pubic lice live among pubic hair and can be spread whether a condom is used or not.
3.Syphillis
Syphillis can be spread through oral, vaginal and anal sex. It can also be transmitted through skin to skin contact.
4.HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
HPV can cause genital warts and various cancers. Genital warts can occur on places around the genital area that is not covered by a condom.
There is no male STD test for HPV therefore the virus can unknowingly be passed on from one person to the other.
