4 clothing items you should avoid buying from mtumba
Cheap can be expensive.
With patience, good bargaining skills and a keen eye, mtumba shopping can be heaven for a lot of people.
Despite their affordability however, comes the question of durability as well as the hygienic state of second hand clothing items.
Here are four items to avoid buying second hand.
1.Shoes
Shoes usually adapt to the shape of someone’s foot which will make it difficult to find a perfect fit with second hand shoes.
Also, they aren’t durable and you will end up having to buy new shoes within a short period of time.
2.Underwear and swim suits
Any item that touched someone else’s nether regions should be avoided at all costs. You’re better off splurging on a good pair of underwear and swimming costume than risking an infection by buying them second hand.
3.Workout clothes
Second hand workout clothes may not be the most hygienic option for gym wear.
4.Hats
Hats might contain hair product remnants, sweat and even skin infections.
