The Royal wedding on Saturday obviously had a dress code but how many guests stuck to it?

Aside from witnessing the union between the now Duke and Duchess of Sussex – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – the Royal wedding also served as a hub for great fashion moments.

With Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding having an informal atmosphere to it, it was expected that a couple of rules would be bended as compared to Prince William’s 2011 wedding to his wife Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Despite the informal nature of the wedding however, certain rules had to apply and such was the case for the ceremonial dress code of the guests.

Prince Harry and Meghan's dress code was simple and not too restrictive with guests being told to don a "morning suit or lounge suit" for men and a "day dress with a hat" for women.

Let's see who got it right and who missed the mark.

1.For ladies, the dress should go up to the knees.

No showing too much leg at the wedding.

2.Accessorize with a fascinator or a hat

Ladies are required to accessorize with a hat or fascinator while attending the wedding.

3.Cover your shoulders

Ladies are required to ensure that their shoulders are covered when attending a Royal wedding.

4.Avoid wearing white, cream and black during the wedding

White and cream are reserved for the bride and her bridal party. Black is reserved for funerals.

5.Men should wear morning suits or lounge suits
