Trends spotted at Africa Nouveau Festival (Image Pulse Live)

And not just the dressing up part but also keeping up with the latest trends that are circling the fashion sphere. Currently, some trends from last year are still quite big in Nairobi such as fanny packs, snake skin print and even cycling shorts. However, some of the new trends that have been predicted for 2019 include tie and dye – yes! The colorful print may be making a comeback, as well as neon which is slowly creeping back into the fashion streets. With time, we will get to see what trends pop up, thanks to the fashion week events of the year. At the Africa Nouveau festival which took place over the weekend, we spotted some trends on some of the fashion enthusiasts in attendance. Here are the ones that dominated.

1. Neon.

We love how she effortlessly merged prints with neon.

2. Vintage.

Vintage pants, shirts and glasses were common at the festival

3. Colored braids.

Colored and ombre braids look like they will be huge this year.

4. Water proof summer jackets.

This is another trend that may be huge this year.

5. Statement accessories.

Check out that chunky chain on Karun?

6. Old school hair cuts.

7. Rolled up casual pants.

I kinda dig this look, wearing casual pants, rolling them up a bit and pairing them with stylish sneakers or slip ons.
