Vera Sidika teaches us how to vacation in style

Slayage nayo?

The socialite turned beautypreneur is currently on a baecation with the boo, Otile Brown at the exotic island of Mauritius. The celebrity couple seems to be enjoying every second of their trip, sponsored by travel agency giants, Bonfire Adventures. In fact, yesterday, the two caused a stir on social media after Otile posted a video of them dancing and well, let's just say there was a lot to look at. If you missed out, it's never too late to grab your popcorns and head over to Otile's Insta comment section for some laughter.

But, that is not what this article is about. We want to talk about vacation style. When you're packing for a beach holiday, it's important to carry the right essentials so as to fully enjoy your holiday and also have great Insta pics, slaying is a must yes? If you're like me, then you probably pack two suit cases for a three day trip and end up wearing the same leggings and tops lol. But over time, I have learned to pack less and only carry what I really need. I know we all have those just in case moments but trust me, you don't need many clothes, just enough. From Vera and Otile's baecation, we can definitely take some vacation slay lessons:

Here's what to pack when going for a vacation at the beach with bae.

1. Whites.

Most of the time, an area with a beach will be hot and humid. Black outfits will make you feel hotter so carry white outfits. It could be a pair of jeans and tank top or even a cute white maxi or shift dress.

2. There's definitely going to be date night right?

Carry a sexy dinner dress that you can wear. Most of the times in high end restaurants, it is required that you observe a certain dress code when going for dinner. Outfits such as shorts and sandals will not be allowed. You could go for a chic dress and a cute open toe wedge. Vera decided to wear an exquisite gown cause she's extra like that. We love it. Do consider the environment though, no need to wear a super elegant dress at a casual restaurant.

3. For site seeing.

You definitely want to be comfortable as site seeing could involve a lot of walking and what not. You should consider things such as the culture at the place you're vacationing as well as the weather. For instance, for a vacation in Zanzibar, wearing short clothes will be frowned upon, tourists are expected to cover up and, it's also respectful. You could go for a well fitting jumpsuit like Vera if you're lounging around or something decent such as comfy slacks, sandals and a top or a comfortable dress. My holiday go-to outfit is maxi dresses, you can never go wrong with maxi dresses for a beach holiday, or anything flowy and airy.

4. Don't forget the bikini.

Don't also forget your bikini cover up such as a flowy and voluminous yet trendy kaftan, kimono or a sheer top. This will come in handy when you're walking around the beach or hotel pool area and don't want to show too too much skin or feel too exposed.

5. Accessories must not be forgotten.

It's a beach holiday, pack your fedora or straw hat, sunglasses, chic scarves, beach bag or straw bag that you can fit a towel when heading to the beach. Sandals and extra accessories such as hair ties, body accessories and flower crowns to make your bikini photos pop.
