Jägermeister (YAY-gər-my-stər) is a German word that directly translates to "Hunt Master". The drink was originally enjoyed by hunters during celebrations.

In case you've never had a chance to inspect the Jägermeister bottle, its logo is a golden stag (male deer), on a field of green with a white cross shinning down. This logo is symbolic.

1. A little bit of Jägermeister history

The striking logo is a nod to Saint Hubertus, the patron saint of hunters, metalworkers, opticians, and mathematicians.
