Cucumber

Unfortunately, some people tend to forget to drink water or may choose other alternatives that aren’t healthy.

Another reason may be the fact that drinking too much water can cause one to constantly go to the bathroom which can be annoying.

While there is no permanent substitute for water – and not supporting there to be one – there are other alternatives that provide hydration other than water.

Check them out below.

1.Watermelon

92 percent of watermelon is made up of water which makes it a great candidate for hydration.

2.Cucumbers

Cucumbers are 96 percent water. So, if you don’t have water with you, you can always carry around cucumbers to snack on in order to stay hydrated.

3.Smoothies

Create smoothies with fruits that contain a lot of water such as watermelons, pineapples, oranges, blueberries and plums for example.

Add a bit of water when making the smoothies. It is a good alternative to fizzy drinks and energy drinks.

4.Coconut water

Coconut water is great especially after a workout. It contains minerals and vitamins that help to restore electrolytes in the body.

5.Skim milk

Milk is great for rehydration and recovery after exercise. Skim milk is a great choice as compared to whole milk.
