Nairobi named number three in the world
Nairobi came in third after Ishigaki in Japan and Kapaa in Hawaii.
The travel site released the top ten best destinations in the world describing Nairobi as “an interesting place to visit due to the many holiday spots for globe trotters seeking something different”.
The winners were decided using an algorithm that measures the yearly increase in positive Trip Advisor ratings for restaurants, hotels and attractions.
The number of destination bookings as compared to other years also played a part in the rankings.
Nairobi was further described as the safari capital of Africa with the Nairobi National Park and the Giraffe Centre being listed as some of the top sights to visit.
In addition to that the nightlife in Nairobi was defined as energetic which tends to spark a lot of fascination.
Karen Blixen Museum was also mentioned as a top sight to visit in Nairobi.
The other cities that made it to the top ten include Halifax in Canada, Gdansk in Poland, San Jose in Costa Rica, Riga in Latvia, Rovini in Croatia, Nerja in Spain and Casablanca in Morocco.
