This Retro Camper Is Light Enough for Almost Any Car to Tow

Love to camp but hate to leave behind the comforts of home? If shivering in a tent in the Great Outdoors isnt quite the experience youre looking for, Happier Camper may have just the thing for you. The looks like a familiar camping trailer, right down to the retro-modern curved lines and two-tone color scheme. Its ultra-light at just 1,100 pounds, which means you can tow it with just about any vehicle. And while it may look like a throwback, the exterior is made with modern materials, including a fiberglass shell and shatterproof glass.

It comes with a large rear hatch door for loading and unloading, as well as a side door with a port window and nearby porch light. Large windows leave both sides of the trailer open to the world, while a contoured solar panel on top provides power to dimmable LED lights. Other power options include AC-power plugs with USB ports and DC-power cigarette lighter ports for any portable devices. Theres even an exterior AC plug, perfect for powering your boombox for outdoor tunes.

Perhaps the most intriguing part of the HC1 2019, though, is its Adaptiv modular interior system, which transforms the 42 square feet of interior space for a variety of uses. The naked configuration turns it into a bare trailer, perfect for hauling a kayak and bike. At the other end of the spectrum, the mega bed offers a giant sleeping space for five people. Somewhere in between is the classic, with a mix of sleeping, dining, and living areas. You can to fit your needs, swapping in a sink, cooler, countertop, and more. Whatever configuration you choose, prices start at $24,950.
