Influencer Amber Fillerup Clark Says The Keto Diet Helped Her Lose 50 Pounds In 6 Months

The keto diet has another big fan, influencer Amber Fillerup Clark. The Barefoot Blonde blogger recently shared her postpartum weight loss with a set of side-by-side photos on Instagram and credited the keto diet with her transformation.

One photo shows her at nine months pregnant and the other shows her six months postpartum. She's wearing the same strapless gray bikini in both images.

"I know it is so cliche to say but geez how crazy are our bodies?! Its amazing," she begins in the caption. "I wanted to post these progress pictures because where I saw the most changes was when I started doing keto with my hubby. He has done the keto diet on and off for 9ish years.. ever since I met him he has done it. He feels really good when he does it so he has just continued to do it."

I gained 50lb with each of my pregnancies. So that has been the biggest change for me with keto is 1. Feeling so good being off carbs and sugar and 2. Seeing the most results to lose the baby weight I put on - just to feel strong and healthy. Im super proud of my husband @davidavidavid because he has been working really hard on putting together a keto meal plan with all of our favorite recipes. He will be launching it a week from today so go follow him to see sneak peeks of the meals, insta stories of how he makes some of them, and just more things keto I know its not for everyone but it works for us. *to answer the most common question I get - yes Im still nursing! She drinks only breast milk - I nurse 90% of the time and the other 10% she gets breast milk from a bottle from David while Im at work. Amber explains what her eating habits looked like while she was pregnant. Amber gave birth to her third child, Frankie, on February 18, and switched up her diet afterward. "So that has been the biggest change for me with keto is 1. Feeling so good being off carbs and sugar and 2. Seeing the most results to lose the baby weight I put on - just to feel strong and healthy," she writes. "I know its not for everyone but it works for us."

Amber responded to keto diet questions from followers and explained, "yes Im still nursing!" "She drinks only breast milk," she adds. Women are generally discouraged from being on any kind of diet while breastfeeding, but as long as you're getting enough calories (around 2,500 a day, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists ) and nutrients, the keto diet shouldn't be an issue for your milk supply. "A mom on a keto diet would likely be able to keep her baby well nourished," Jennifer Wider, MD, a women's health expert previously told Women's Health .

Amber is one of many keto diet devotees who have transformed their bodies with the high-fat, low-carb eating plan.
