Muthama allegedly made the comments on 10 of September in Isinya Town, Kajiado County.
The outspoken politician is accused of threatening to fight President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto with the intention of “causing death or physical injury to persons”.
Here are the words that Muthama reportedly uttered as captured in the charge sheet:
"Mimi nataka kumwambia na naalika UhuruKenyatta and mheshimiwa Ruto pale Uhuru Park bila askari na mimi na Orengo tuvae gloves tukutane Uhuru Park tuonyeshe kilicho nyoa kanga manyoa. Unatisha Raila kama nani? (I want to tell him, and am inviting Uhuru Kenyatta and the honourable Ruto to Uhuru Park without their bodyguards... Orengo and I will wear our gloves and teach him a lesson. Who is he to threaten Raila?)."
