Tight security at Anniversary towers ahead of NASA demos (PHOTOS)
GSU officers have already been deployed at Anniversary Towers in preparation for Nasa demonstrations today
GSU officers heavily loaded with tear gas canisters and anti-riot regalia are already at the IEBC offices.
This comes a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta warned the opposition of causing violence.
“Opposition should stop thinking that they have a monopoly of violence,” said the President while campaigning in Chuka.
Nasa has however decided that they will not storm the IEBC offices to flash out the officials they want out. They said that they will just demonstrate peacefully on the streets of Nairobi to force some officials out.
The Opposition has maintained that they will keep demonstrating until IEBC C.E.O Ezra Chiloba among other IEBC officials vacate office.
The Coalition accuses the electoral body of having bungled the August 8 elections though the Supreme Court indicted no one in their judgement.
NASA had also demanded that AlGhurair printing firm, which was responsible for printing paper ballots struck out as well as Safran Morpho which is managing the Kenya Integrated Elections Management System (KIEMS).
