4 pupils rushed to KNH, dozens trapped as classroom collapses in Nairobi

On Monday, Kenyans woke up to news that a wall had collapsed at Precious Talent School along Ngong road.

The incident is reported to have happened at around 6:30 a.m. as the children were reporting for the new week.

Unconfirmed reports from area residents said that four pupils had lost their lives in the morning wall collapse.

Kenya Red Cross who are leading rescue operations in the school confirmed that four children have been rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) with efforts to see several others who are trapped under the wreckage brought to safety.

Precious Talent School was a 2-storey building with a concrete floor and iron sheet walls.

Education Principal Secretary Dr Belio Kipsang is reported to have arrived at the scene as rescue operations continue.

Dagoretti OCPD has further confirmed that the number of confirmed dead pupils stands at 7.
