“As such, we are delighted to be increasing our 4G sites across the country.

“The expansion of our network coverage will ensure that majority of the urban population are well covered,” remarked Sarma.

The approach by the mobile giant will enable customers to enjoy better and faster connectivity for the wide range of data products such as Amazing data bundles, Unliminet, Tubonge and the 2bob tariff.

The new distribution will target town such as Kisumu, Nyeri, Meru, Nakuru, Bungoma, Lamu and Garissa among others.

Airtel launches 4G network

Airtel in May 2018 launched its 4G service in the nation.

The telecommunication company joined the 4G fray in order to keep up with its other competitor Safaricom who had launched the service in February the same year.

The new network service was set to ensure that the provider delivered a new experience through greater connectivity speeds, faster browsing speeds and a high level of improved network responsiveness.
