Kisumu Governor Prof. Anyang Nyong’o has been flown to Nairobi for further treatment, after he was rushed to hospital on Saturday.

Reports reaching Pulselive.co.ke indicate that the governor was flown on Sunday for conclusive tests, after he was hospitalized for a sudden drop in his blood pressure.

"The governor has been flown to Nairobi for conclusive tests," said the Kisumu Agha Khan Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Sam Oula.

Rushed to hospital

The Kisumu Governor was rushed to hospital on Saturday after he fell sick at Uzima University where he was attending the installation of Rev. Philip Anyolo as the new archbishop for Kisumu Diocese.

Aga Khan Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Sam Oula revealed that Nyongo was rushed to the facility after he felt uncomfortable during mass at the Uzima University grounds in Kisumu, but was in a stable condition.

He was brought while feeling dizzy and we have administered the necessary medication. We are still keeping him to monitor for any complications that may arise.” Oula said.

"For now, he is stable and in good hands,” he added.
