Reports indicate that the three armed men who arrived on a motorbike made their way into Kavirondo Fishnets Sundry and Hardware limited near New Victoria Hotel, brandishing guns at customers and attendants before collecting their loot.
According to a police report on the daring daylight robbery, the gangsters wore helmets, making it almost impossible for them to be identified from the CCTV footage at the scene of crime.
They then escaped on a stand-by motorbike leaving behind terrified customers and attendants.
Police sources have confirmed that several police units have been mobilized to hunt down the criminals and bring them to justice.

In a separate incident, a gang of armed men was captured on CCTV cameras robbing a woman at gunpoint in the Coastal city of Mombasa.
The undated video captures the three men walking past their victim at an MPesa shop in Makande area before two of them turn on the lady brandishing a gun.
The visibly terrified lady surrenders her valuables including her handbag while the third man disappears from the frame, surfacing seconds later with a motorbike which they use to escape.
Two of the armed robbers donned red caps while the third one who drove the motorcycle after the robbery wore a red marvin hat.
The victim is left unhurt perhaps after complying to the robbers’ demands and is seen walking away from the scene of crime clearly terrified.
