Panic as Cholera outbreak in Nairobi confirmed

The Nairobi County Government claims to be unaware of any deaths caused by the outbreak.

So far nothing more has been stated by the government concerning the outbreak. However, making rounds on social media is a post by one of the attendees of the said wedding who says that he has lost older sibling to the outbreak.

Speaking to the media, Dr Bernard Muia states that he is not aware of any fatalities. Yet, the rather extensive post explains just how attendees had a great time at the wedding only to wake up with stomach aches, diarrhoea, vomiting and general body weakness. Upon being taken to hospital one the guys, Steve Musalia Kidake succumed to the disease and passed away on Tuedsday at 2am.

The correlation between the county government story and the post that indeed the outbreak started at a wedding in Karen panic amongst the people.

Cholera outbreaks have been pandemics to the society once they break. Due to this, City Hall has already activated treatment centers across Nairobi to tackle the disease. Any person experiencing vomiting and diarrhoea should immediately go to hospital. All county health facilities are available to assist.

Persons living in Nairobi are advised to boil their drinking water.
