Matiang’i was supervising the administration of KCPE exams which started today.
Despite his no-nonsense approach to administrative issues, he called an assembly and proceeded to lead of a word of prayer.
“Our father and our God who is in heaven, we come before your presence. We thank you for the gift of these children…As their study for their exams, we pray and commit them into your loving hands,” the CS prayed.
Incidentally, the prayers came shortly after the CS had called for the interdiction of the headteacher at the school.
Matiang’i took action against the school head after he found some of the classrooms where KCPE candidates were sitting their exams had leaking roofs.
The CS also ordered their evacuation to a convenient environment before directing the county education bosses to ensure the situation was rectified immediately.
