DCI offers Sh10M reward for information on 5 wanted suspects

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has released a list of five most wanted terrorists.

In a twitter thread, DCI has offered a reward of Sh10,000,000 to anyone who will provide information leading to the arrest of any of the terror suspects.

"Wanted terrorists! A reward of Sh10 Million will be offered to anyone who volunteers information leading to the arrest of any of the following terror suspects. Dial 0800 722 203 to report anonymously. #FichuakwaDCI Usiogope!," reads a tweet from DCI.

Salim Rashid Mohamed

Top on the list is Salim Rashid Mohamed aka Choraka aka Turki. Salim who hails from Mombasa County is out on bond over terrorism charges and is suspected to have joined Daesh/Islamic state terrorist group in Mozambique. He is suspected to be planning to sneak back into the country to carry out attacks.

“The National Police Service informs member of the public that Salim is armed and dangerous,” DCI said.

Trevor Ndwiga

Another terror suspect who is under the police radar is Trevor Ndwiga aka Idriss Jamal. He is also out on bond over terrorism charges. He is suspected to have joined Al-Shabaab in Somalia. Ndwiga who hails from Hamza in Makadara sub-county has been termed armed and dangerous.

Elgiva Bwire Oliacha

Elgiva Bwire Oliacha aka Seif Deen Mohamed aka Japhar aka Japhel Okuku aka Abu Muadh is an ex-terror inmate who was released on Thursday 28th, 2021 from Kamiti Maximum Prison. Elgiva vowed to carry out retaliatory attacks in the country against civilians and security personnel.

“He has gone underground and I believed to be planning to carry out attacks,” DCI noted.

Barigi Abdikadir Haila

Recently, Barigi Abdikadir Haila joined Al-Shabaab in Somalia. He hails from Manyatta Burji area in Moyale sub-county in Marsabit County.

“The National Police Service informs member of the public that Salim is armed and dangerous,” DCI said.

Muhammed Abubakar

Muhammed Abubakar alias Minshawary is suspected to have joined Al-Shabaab in Somalia. He hails from Kibokoni area within Mombasa Old Town in Mombasa County.

“The National Police Service informs member of the public that Salim is armed and dangerous,” DCI said.
