On Monday, one of the biggest events in the country ‘The Presidential Debate’ went down at the Catholic University of East Africa.

One of the major presidential candidates was a no-show but the debate still went on and NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga dropped some gems that impressed the electorate.

One of the most popular ones was his promise to provide cheap housing for poor residents and single mums. He recognized the struggle single mums have when it comes to bringing up a family on a small income and he promised to pay attention to the marginalized group so that they can access capital that will help them take care of their kids properly.

That statement impressed Grace Msalame who feels strongly about the plight of single mums. She sent out this message to Raila when he stepped out onto the podium “I must applaud Mr. Odinga for showing up though. An opportunity to seize the moment & share his vision unopposed!”
